Playing and Playing

This past week Keira has had a lot of fun playing. She loves to clap her hands. Her little teeth are looking pretty, however every time I try to get a picture of them she closes her mouth. She is making lots of sounds like blurb blurb. She gets very excited when she sees Duke and Daisy and loves it when she can get close enough to pet them.

Our Little Monkey

Keira finished up swim classes last Friday and really enjoyed being in the water. Looks like we'll have to check out the new pool up on hwy. 70 sometime so she can continue to have fun in the water. Keira's swim instructor.

7 Months

Keira is 7 months old today! We've had quite an exciting week!! Keira began baby swim class last week, and it continues this week too. She is loving the water so much! We even had one lady tell us that she loved her expressions so much that she has been taking lots of pictures and plans to get them to us. Now that she is crawling all over the place, she has quickly moved on to pulling herself up to standing. On Thursday at swim class, Keira was smiling really big and I noticed that there was not one, but two teeth coming in on her bottom front gums. Getting Keira's first teeth has been a bit painful for her and her sleep patterns have been off. But she is looking very cute with these little teeth coming in. Today we are trying green beans for the first time. Hopefully she will like her veggies!!

At the beginning of last week Keira kept getting these books which were on the bottom shelf. I moved them up thinking that would hold her off for a while. I was WRONG! Within a few days she was standing up at them ready to pick out something to read.

Keira has been a perfect little angel (almost) this past week! She is crawling everywhere!!! Last week mommy had to leave Keira at her grandma's for part of the day. She refused to drink milk from a bottle, but gobbled down her cereal with prunes!

Happy Days

Precious Keira continues to amaze us. This week she was caught several times trying to pull drawers open. Looks like baby proofing is going to be here sooner than we thought. She is trying to pull herself up. Keira is even trying to sort of stand in her high chair. With all of her curiousity, she had an awesome time this week doing lots of things with Daddy, as he took the week off from work. Relaxing at home!

Rocky Road

If I were to describe this week for Keira I would say that it was a Rocky Road for our little angel. First we started off the week going in for her 6 month check up. She weighed in at 14.9 pounds and is now 26 inches long. Her doctor was very impressed with all that Keira could do. She did recommend that we start her on infant probiotics to help her digestive problems. Then she had to get three shots. They really hurt her. I could tell that she just wasn’t herself the next day. She was fussy and wanted to take her naps in my arms. Wednesday she still didn’t feel that great. Her appetite wasn’t what it usually was. That evening I stood up with her and she coughed and the next thing I knew she was vomiting all over both of us. I stood there not sure what to do then finally went into the bathroom and stripped our clothes and gave her a bath. Once we got cleaned up, her daddy was holding her and round number two started. We cleaned her up again, and then she took a nap in my arms. Once she woke up, she seemed to feel a lot better. The following day, she seemed better, but naps were still off. She still wanted to nap only in my arms. This made for a day that made me feel like I couldn’t accomplish much (with the exception of reading). So here we are to today…she is finally sleeping! However it’s in her carseat.

In other news, Keira is CRAWLING!!! She hasn’t quite mastered it yet, but she is making her way around. To top things off, she is also trying to pull herself up as seen here in her crib. Looks like we’ll be adjusting her bed this weekend.
