Good Times

This morning we woke up to snow again in the desert of Las Cruces. Daddy opened the blinds and Keira said, "OH!" It was so cute! She was very curious to see what the white blanket of snow was all about. Later that evening, Keira was sitting in her highchair having some dinner. Daddy started singing one of the songs to her favorite BABY SIGNING TIMES DVD Vol. 1. As he sang "put your finger tips together for more, more, more" Keira for the first time began signing more, more, more as he sang along. We weren't quite sure what she wanted more of, but she was really getting into it. Some other things Keira has been saying lately are Baby, Mom, and Dad. She has also began to show a lot of interest in Dora the Explorer when she's at her Grandma's house. Oh! I want the camera!

This was too cute! The oher day Daddy surprised Keira by coming home with the company's mascot. At first Keira thought "What in the world?" But then she realized it was just Daddy and got excited.

Christmas Tree Excitement

This weekend Keira awoke Saturday morning with 2 more teeth! She now has 7 teeth in all. We also put up our Christmas tree. Keira was so excited to see the tree. We put ornaments along the bottom that are safe for her. She has been so curious as you can see here...

11 Month's Old

Keira has gotten 2 more teeth in the last week. She now has 2 teeth on top and 3 on the bottom. In addition to her teeth, she also got her first cold last week. She is still getting over that! Smiling on Thanksgiving Day in Ruidoso!

She's Got Style

Keira is too funny! She woke up around 3 a.m. for a feeding. Afterwards, she decided that she didn't want to go back to bed. So in the middle of Mommy & Daddy's bed, she began talking up a storm! She even began hitting Daddy and saying "DAD, DAD!" Even though it was the middle of the night it was too funny! This went on for about 45 minutes, finally Keira decided it wasn't getting light outside and fell back asleep. Now that Keira can walk, she is really showing a greater love for the outdoors. On Sunday, she really enjoyed watching Daddy mow the lawn and tried to follow behind him. This was one of the first times Keira had been in the grass, and she was very curious as to how it felt when she walked on it. She also had to get down and feel the textures of the grass. It was wonderful watching her enjoy our backyard.

Sometimes Mommy has too much fun shopping for Keira. Here she is Monday morning sporting a new hat for this winter and a stylish outfit.

Keira's 10 Months Old!

Keira was very curious to see what was on Daddy's night stand, so she used this laptop case as a stool and tried to climb up and see what she could get. At one point, it looked like she was doing chin ups.

This week Keira went in for her 9 month check up. She is now 27 inches long and weighs 16 pounds and 12 ounces. She has finally started to take some steps!! She is very curious and just had the urge to raid the pantry closet this evening. Can I please have a snack before bed! Trying to get some cereal!
